Celebrating Our Second Neighborhood Bookshelf

Our second Neighborhood Bookshelf has found a home at Plaza Frida in Little Rock. Nestled beside the entrance to the soccer field, this vibrant addition is impossible to miss. Just like our first bookshelf, it’s stocked with stories for readers of all ages and interests — from picture books and young-adult adventures to inspiring reads for grown-ups.

What You Will Find

  • Picture books, chapter books, and adult titles

  • A mix of fiction and nonfiction, and bilingual selections

  • Fun extras like coloring pages, stickers, and craft packs

  • A keepsake postcard featuring the bookshelf’s artwork

A Closer Look at the Art

Each Neighborhood Bookshelf tells a story through its design and color. The Plaza Frida bookshelf reflects the energy of families and friends who gather to play, celebrate, and connect. It serves as a small work of public art and a celebration of reading in the heart of the community.

About the Art

The artwork was created by Emily Rebecca Kelly. Her design is inspired by the movement, color, and cultural spirit of Plaza Frida. It captures the joy of neighborhood life and the imagination that books can spark.
