Providence Park
Providence Park is a 50-acre planned community south of Little Rock that provides affordable, permanent housing and supportive resources for people moving beyond chronic homelessness. Most importantly, the community gives residents a place to build stability, relationships, and a stronger sense of belonging.
Providence Park centers its work on hope, grace, empowerment, and dignity. In addition, residents can access resources and community support as they work toward greater stability and independence. Everyone deserves the opportunity to live with dignity and respect, regardless of personal circumstances.
For these reasons, PCE is honored to partner with Providence Park and support projects that can make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives.
Providence Park Neighborhood Bookshelf
PCE will provide a Neighborhood Bookshelf for residents and guests at Providence Park. The bookshelf will stand near the bus turnaround, where community members can easily access free books.
Additionally, PCE volunteers will install, stock, organize, and maintain the bookshelf. Through Books4U!, volunteers will continue adding books for children, teens, and adults as the community grows.

A Labyrinth on the Grounds
PCE is working with Providence Park and its landscape architects to design and fund a labyrinth near the chapel. Together, the partners hope to create a peaceful space where residents can slow down, reflect, and reconnect.
People often use labyrinths for introspection, meditation, and contemplative prayer. Similarly, the Providence Park labyrinth will offer residents a place for healing, reflection, and a deeper sense of grounding.
Once the labyrinth opens, the Park’s spiritual life team will also organize facilitated walks and other activities. Ultimately, the space will provide another way for residents to experience peace, connection, and a stronger sense of place.
To Get Involved
PowerUP Project
The PowerUP Project gives PCE another opportunity to support Providence Park residents in a practical way. PCE collects donated iPads from community members and works with Apple Store staff to reset the devices to factory standards.
Afterward, PCE will distribute the iPads to residents during a workshop and teach participants how to use them. Residents can then keep the devices for their own use.
As a result, participants can use their iPads to connect with friends and family, search for jobs, complete applications, listen to music, enjoy entertainment, and access online resources.
Best of all, donated devices allow PCE to create meaningful opportunities for residents while keeping project costs extremely low.
