TEDX events embody the mission of the Partnership for Community Enrichment: to help foster healthy, diverse, culture-rich lifestyles. TED’s tagline, “Ideas worth spreading,” could serve PCE just as well.

In fact, PCE was formed to host the 2020 TEDxHenderson event highlighted below. The team needed a “flexible, nimble non-profit” to receive donations and manage the event.

As referenced above, PCE hosted a virtual TEDxHenderson in conjunction with TED’s Countdown initiative to drive a rapid shift to net zero greenhouse emissions. The theme for the event was “focus on Southern Nevada” and it was streamed live on Facebook to more than 400 viewers from the studio of Todd Fisher and his wife, Katherine Hickland.

There were five speakers and two entertainment sets.

In 2016 and 2018 four of the PCE board members were the hosts of TEDxUNLV, held on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Those were exciting events, each with the theme of “Living in the Extreme.”
