TEDx UNLV 2018

Living in the Extreme on June 22, 2018
in the Judy Bayley Theatre

The theme of "Living in the Extreme" reflects the lives of everyone as they deal with an increasing volume of information, thousands of lifestyle choices, and a variety of devices that keep us connected and estranged at the same time.

The Partnership for Community Enrichment team that brought TEDxHenderson to southern Nevada in 2020 was also involved with the 2016 and 2018 TEDxUNLV events, with three board members on the main committee in 2016 and four board members on the committee in 2018.

The theme for the two TEDxUNLV events was “Living in the Extreme,” and you will be able to see that the speakers all fell into that category.

The 2018 event took place on Friday, June 22 and started at 8:30 am.

Ideas Worth Spreading

About TED/TEDx, x = independently organized event. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized, subject to certain rules and regulations.
